Santa’s Sleigh to tour Rhyl with the help of Brighter Futures
Santa, or if you prefer Father Christmas will be doing his annual tour of Rhyl with the help of all the wonderful people at Bright Futures on Wellington Road in Rhyl.
The jolly red man will be making 4 tours of the town in different areas for all to see. You can find all the dates and locations below. You can also follow Santas progress on the Brighter Futures Facebook page HERE and don’t forget to listen our for the Christmas music.
Night One: Thursday 5th December
4.30pm Starts outside Brighter Futures, 34 Wellington Road. Santa will stay here for 30 minutes to say hello to everyone
5pm Sleigh moves down Wellington Rd, through the Town Centre to Russell Road. When it gets to Old Golf Road it will make a 15 min Santa Stop. Then it will continue along Coast Road past the fire station, before turning north at the traffic lights, heading to Splash Point.From there, the sleigh will continue along the whole promenade. There will be a 15 minute Santa Stop at the Pavilion Theatre. The sleigh will continue along the prom to West Parade where there will be a 15 minute Santa Stop at the top of River Street. From there the sleigh will head along the prom to Sydenham Ave and turn down there to travel back onto Wellington Rd past Santa HQ at Brighter Futures. From there, Santa and his sleigh will go to the Westminster Hotel for a 30 minute stop off to meet and pose for selfies.
Night Two: Tuesday 10th December
4.30pm Starts at Morrisons supermarket, where Santa and the sleigh will stay for 30 mins. 5pm Santa’s Sleigh will drive down Marsh Road, then turn into Rhydwen Drive. There will be a 15 minute Santa Stop at 13 Rhydwen Drive (The Grotto House). After that it will continue along Rhydwen Drive to Menai Avenue. From there it will turn on to Ffordd Las towards Cefndy Road, where it will make a 15 minute Santa Stop to say hello at the Cefndy Road shops. After that it will continue to Vale Road, where it will stop for 15 minutes in the lay-by by Pin Ups/Pressed for Time . After that, it will travel back towards the Town Centre and over the Vale Road bridge en route to Santa HQ for the night.
Night Three: Thursday 12th December
4.30pm Santa will be at Bruton Park tonight, where he’ll kick off his nightly tour with a 45 minute Santa Stop. 5.15pm From Bruton Park, he will head to the Aberkinsey Estate, stopping at Cae Thorley for 15 minutes, then onto Dyserth Road where he will turn into Pen y Maes Avenue, then onto Trellewelyn Road, where there will be a 15 minute Santa Stop at Trellewelyn Shops. After that, Santa will head up Grosvenor Avenue up to Grange Road, stopping at Parrys Corner for 15mins. Then the sleigh will continue up Grange Rd past the Mill Bank pub, near the railway bridge where tonight’s tour ends.
Night Four: Tuesday 17th December
4.30pm The night opens with a Santa Stop at the Whelmar shops on Fford Elan and Fford Anwyl onto Tynewydd Road, where there will be a Santa Stop for 45 minutes at the Rhyl Rugby Club. After that, he’ll head over the bridge towards Denmore Stores, where he’ll make a 15 minute stop at the side of the Stores, to say hello. After that, the tour will head back home to Santa HQ via Coast Road, Old Golf Road and East Parade
