Rhyl Radio Advertising Terms & Conditions

Last updated: Tuesday 30th June 2026

1. Advertising Orders

By placing an advertising order through the Rhyl Radio website, the advertiser agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

All advertising orders are subject to approval by Rhyl Radio. Payment does not automatically guarantee broadcast approval, and Rhyl Radio reserves the right to refuse, amend, delay or cancel any advertisement that does not meet our broadcast standards or requirements.

2. Advertiser Responsibilities

The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that all information, claims, offers, prices, promotions, trademarks and other content supplied to Rhyl Radio are accurate, legal and suitable for broadcast.

The advertiser confirms that they have permission to use any music, voices, images, logos, trademarks, brand names or other materials supplied to Rhyl Radio.

Rhyl Radio accepts no responsibility for inaccuracies, misleading claims or omissions contained within advertiser-supplied scripts or materials.

The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that any claims made within their advertisement can be supported with appropriate evidence if requested by Rhyl Radio or required by advertising regulations.

3. Script Approval & Production

Where the advertiser provides a script, Rhyl Radio reserves the right to request amendments before production or broadcast.

Rhyl Radio may suggest changes to wording, timing, tone or content to ensure the advertisement is suitable for broadcast and meets required advertising standards.

The advertiser may select their preferred advert wording and voice style/gender (where available). However, the final production, including voice delivery, pacing, emphasis, audio processing, sound effects, music selection, mixing and overall creative style, will be determined by Rhyl Radio.

Once production has been completed, the advertiser is not permitted to request changes to the creative production elements of the advert. Amendments will only be considered where changes are required due to factual inaccuracies, legal compliance, broadcast requirements or errors made during production by Rhyl Radio.

The advertiser acknowledges that Rhyl Radio’s advertising production service provides a professionally produced finished advert and not an editable production file or customer-controlled editing service.

Any final advert produced by Rhyl Radio remains subject to approval before transmission.

4. Refusal of Advertising

Rhyl Radio reserves the right to refuse advertising that:

  • Does not comply with UK advertising regulations or broadcast requirements.
  • Contains misleading, false or unsubstantiated claims.
  • Could cause harm, offence or reputational damage.
  • Promotes illegal activities, unsafe products or inappropriate services.
  • Contains discriminatory, defamatory or offensive material.
  • Is unsuitable for the Rhyl Radio audience, values or brand.
  • Cannot be verified or supported with appropriate evidence.

This list is not exhaustive, and Rhyl Radio retains full discretion when deciding whether an advertisement is suitable for broadcast.

5. Restricted Products & Services

Certain products and services may require additional checks, wording changes or may not be accepted for broadcast.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Financial products or services
  • Gambling-related advertising
  • Alcohol-related advertising
  • Health, medical or wellbeing claims
  • Political advertising
  • Age-restricted products

Rhyl Radio may request supporting information or evidence before approving such advertisements.

6. Payment

Advertising must be paid for before broadcast unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.

If payment is not received, Rhyl Radio reserves the right to delay, suspend or remove advertising from the schedule.

Prices displayed on the Rhyl Radio website are subject to change. Any price confirmed at the time of order will apply to that advertising booking.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

Once production has started or advertising has been scheduled, refunds may not be available.

If Rhyl Radio refuses an advertisement due to compliance issues, we will work with the advertiser where possible to amend the content. If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, any refund decision will be made at Rhyl Radio’s discretion.

No refund will be provided where an advert has been produced in accordance with the approved script and requirements submitted by the advertiser.

8. Broadcast Scheduling

Rhyl Radio will make reasonable efforts to broadcast advertisements according to the package purchased. However, exact transmission times cannot be guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing.

Rhyl Radio reserves the right to adjust schedules when required for operational, technical or programming reasons.

Advertising packages are based on the agreed number of broadcasts or campaign period and not guaranteed specific positions within individual shows unless otherwise agreed.

9. Liability

The advertiser agrees to indemnify Rhyl Radio against any claims, costs, damages or legal action arising from advertising content, claims, materials or information supplied by the advertiser.

Rhyl Radio’s responsibility is limited to providing the advertising service purchased.

Rhyl Radio accepts no responsibility for loss of business, missed opportunities or any indirect losses resulting from advertising campaigns.

10. Intellectual Property & Use of Produced Advertisements

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Rhyl Radio retains ownership of the produced audio advertisement, including the production style, editing, mixing and creative elements.

The advertiser may use the finished advertisement only for the purpose agreed with Rhyl Radio.

The advertiser may not modify, reproduce, distribute or provide the produced advertisement to another broadcaster or third party without written permission from Rhyl Radio.

11. Changes to These Terms

Rhyl Radio reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The latest version published on the Rhyl Radio website will apply to future advertising orders.
