Christmas Well-Being Event to be held in Rhyl
A well-being event is to be held at Sussex Street Christian Centre in Rhyl, helping to showcase all of the support services that are available for residents’ use during this festive period, and beyond.
The event will be held on 28th of November from 11am to 1:30pm, and will allow residents to chat and learn about the different support services and put a friendly face to each support provider.
Throughout the morning, there will be a number of activities available for attendees, including Christmas card making with STEP (Support That Empowers People).
Each attendee will receive a free raffle ticket and refreshments such as tea and coffee and cakes and biscuits will be available.
During the event, guest speakers will be sharing their journey through homelessness, and both the West Rhyl Young Peoples Project and Blossom and Bloom, Charity for Mother and Baby, will be in attendance.
Councillor Elen Heaton, Lead Member for Health and Social Care said:
“Despite the festive atmosphere, Christmas can be a difficult time for some families. I’d like to encourage anyone who may need assistance during this festive period, and into next year to come along to this event.
Friendly faces will help introduce key services and support providers, helping to explain what support is out there.”
