Rhyl Rotary Club Marks 100 Years with Charity Abseil from St Asaph Cathedral

Did you know that Rhyl has been home to a Rotary Club for almost 100 years? To celebrate this remarkable milestone, the Rotary Club of Rhyl is inviting the community to take part in a spectacular charity abseil from St Asaph Cathedral Tower on Saturday 25th April 2026.

The event forms part of the Rotary Club of Rhyl’s 100th anniversary celebrations (1926–2026) and aims to raise vital funds for local charities and fundraising groups. A total of 100 participants will descend from the top of the cathedral’s 84-foot-high tower, making it a truly memorable way to mark a century of service to the local community.

All abseils will be carried out under professional supervision, ensuring a safe and well-organised experience for everyone taking part. Participants are encouraged to abseil in support of a charity of their choice, with all sponsorship funds collected being distributed by the Rotary Club of Rhyl.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance.
The registration fee is £75, with a minimum sponsorship requirement of £150 per participant.

The Rotary Club of Rhyl is proudly sponsoring NSPCC and St Kentigern Hospice, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to supporting both local and national causes.
